New Zealand (All Blacks)
All Blacks’ 2023 kit hasn’t been well received, with the new silver fern design covering the jersey proving more of a miss than a hit. The collars of rugby jerseys have been a popular feature for years, but adidas’ attempts to bring them back have made this jersey look more like a golf shirt or cricket shirt than a rugby shirt. It is expected that the All Blacks will wear all-white jerseys at the World Cup, possibly in their opener against France.
And here it is, the new All Blacks RWC2023 jersey – it’s all black, obviously, but a proper collar and a very interesting take on the silver fern sublimated into the design certainly makes this a bit of a polariser… pic.twitter.com/O2cPVAGa3b

France
In contrast to the jerseys France wore during the Autumn Nations Series last year and the Six Nations in 2023, the new jersey provided by Le Coq Sportif is a slightly different shade. The change in the blue shade is attributed to reflect the French flag, with the players also set to wear red socks and white shorts. An alternative white kit with blue borders is also available.

Italy
The Azzurri will wear a light blue jersey with a two-button polo shirt collar, a slim white line, and white sleeve cuffs from Macron.
A dye-sub print tone-on-tone design of the laurel wreath in the FIR crest is also featured on the jersey, according to Macron.
White shorts are worn with the home kit and blue shorts are worn with the alternate kit.

Uruguay
Featuring prominently on both the home and alternate strip of Los Teros’ World Cup kit is the sun, which appears on their flag. Uruguay will wear its new sun-inspired yellow jersey for three of its four pool matches against France, Italy, and Namibia. Only against New Zealand will Uruguay be wearing its traditional blue.

South Africa
Following the same design as the Rugby Championship jerseys, Nike has revealed the Springboks’ Rugby World Cup jersey (pictured above).
After ASICS stepped down as South Africa’s kit supplier, Nike took over, and their maiden jersey has been well received.
The classic ‘green and gold’ jersey has been reimagined with a traditional collar and a flag-inspired underside.

Ireland
A sneak peek of the kit caused widespread criticism, so Ireland and Canterbury have finally released the official kit. Fans have criticized both the green and white jerseys for the official release. Canterbury states that the kit is ‘the most technologically advanced jersey’ the supplier has ever produced, and it is made from 100% recycled polyester.
Additionally, it features VaopDri+ adaptive and quick-drying technology, a flatlocked collar for strength, laser-cut holes for breathability, silicone logos, and a curved form for comfort.
“The jersey is launched alongside Canterbury’s ‘We Go Together’ campaign, which calls on Irish fans around the world to unite in support of the Ireland team during the tournament,” an Irish Rugby statement read.

Scotland
For the 2023 Rugby World Cup, Scotland’s new home shirt is navy blue, with white trim around the neck and sleeves, and two thin stripes on the sleeves, one of them in Scottish Rugby’s tartan green.
Besides Scottish navy blue and green and purple shades of the thistle, Scotland’s national flower, the jersey has a distinct tartan design down the sides.
The alternate white jersey also features the tartan at the end of the sleeves.

During the Rugby World Cup, Romania will wear yellow home jerseys and white alternates. A wide blue border appears on the right sleeve of the jersey, while a red border appears on the left. The sublimation-printed graphics are reminiscent of geometric patterns found in traditional Romanian clothing and fabrics.

Georgia
Prior to the Rugby World Cup, Georgia released their jersey last.
Macron supplies jerseys to seven countries, including the Lelos, whose jerseys feature a vine shoot as a symbol and expression of their national identity.
A red home shirt with a purple V-neck and purple cuffs is paired with a white away version with a purple V-neck and red and purple stripes on the sleeves.

Portugal
A green V-neck on the home kit of Os Lobos is repeated on the sleeve cuffs of their red home kit, which is Portugal’s first Rugby World Cup appearance since 2007. Their alternate shirt is white with a knitted V-neck in green and red stripes. With the same graphic as the home shirt covering all surfaces, the five shields are represented in different colours on the sleeves, sides and back bottom.

England
It looks like Red Rose and Umbro have come up with a classic kit with the primary kit looking very clean and simple. The alternate strip is navy and minimal in its own right. It is part of the ‘From England with love’ campaign for the World Cup, which represents the passion of English fans at home and in the stands.

Japan
With the release of the new Brave Blossoms jersey for the World Cup, a lot has stayed the same since the strip they wore four years ago at home. The Japanese will wear a blue alternate jersey with gold stripes going diagonally. It is a unique jersey that is manufactured through chemical recycling, and the new jerseys are made from old jerseys donated by Japan fans.

Argentina
Two excellent Nike jerseys have been produced for the Rugby World Cup, and while Los Pumas’ home kit has remained largely unchanged since the last tournament in Japan, it is still a winner with its neat collar and classic blue and white hoops. The alternate kit has a major change, as the dark blue jersey features a diagonal white stripe. The kit is modeled after the Granaderos, led by national hero Jose de San Martin, who liberated the country from Spanish rule in the 1800s.

Samoa
The Manu Samoa jersey for the 2023 Rugby World Cup has been released by Macron.
