The line-up of pundits includes Jonny Wilkinson, Maggie Alphonsi, Sam Warburton, Jamie Roberts, Brian O’Driscoll, Greig Laidlaw, Philippa Tuttiett, Bryan Habana, Sir Clive Woodward, Rory Best, John Barclay, Sergio Parisse, Gareth Thomas, George Gregan, Sir Ian McGeechan, Lawrence Dallaglio, and Sean Fitzpatrick.

Ben Kay, Ugo Monye, Shane Williams, Scott Hastings, Tom Shanklin, Gordon D’Arcy and Nolli Waterman are among the co-commentators. ITV have created an interactive studio set in the UK for the tournament, which will provide a platform for some of rugby’s biggest names to offer viewers new perspectives and insights into the game. The augmented reality set also features a balcony with views of classic Parisian scenes for presentations. In addition, they have enlisted former referee JP Doyle to explain the rule changes and demonstrate how they work in practice.

Viewers can watch and engage with Rugby World Cup coverage anytime with ITV Sport’s digital offer. The opening titles will feature the iconic song Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien by legendary French chanteuse Édith Piaf.

With the ITVX app, fans will be able to watch all games live and on the go with short highlights, exclusive interviews, in-depth analysis, and demos featuring our expert pundits.

The ITV Rugby World Cup podcast will be available to download from your usual podcast provider. David Flatman will be hosting 12 episodes during the tournament and will be joined by co-hosts and guests including Tom Shanklin, Sam Warburton, and Nolli Waterman.

From September 4th until the end of the tournament, 11 episodes will be released. ITV recently revealed its creative campaign – which incorporates on-air promo, out-of-home, social, and influencer marketing – which uses unconventional methods to predict the winner of the Webb Ellis Trophy – ‘This One’s Impossible to Predict’.

It is expected that the Rugby World Cup 2023, broadcast exclusively on ITV this Autumn, will be one of the most unpredictable tournaments in history, as there are no clear favourites and a strong chance for a northern hemisphere team to win. To commemorate each nation participating in the tournament, ITV Creative Directors Jack McPartland and Shane O’Neil collaborated with the illustrator Yousef Sabry to create 20 tarot cards.
